🛡️ Privacy First

What Speedelly itself stores: nothing
Speedelly runs no first-party servers, accounts, or databases. We never receive, log, or sell your speed-test results, IP address, or location — there is nowhere on our side for them to go. The site loads no analytics, no advertising and no third-party trackers of any kind, and sets no cookies. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
Tests connect directly from your device to a third-party network-measurement endpoint and back. Speedelly’s servers are never in the path — we never see or log your traffic.
Your past test results are saved using localStorage — a browser-local database that never syncs to any server. You can inspect it yourself: press F12 → Application → Local Storage → speedelly.com. You'll see sp_history. Delete it anytime.
Our speed test engine is plain JavaScript in engine.js and gauge.js. Press F12 → Sources in your browser to read every line. You can confirm there are no hidden API calls to Speedelly servers transmitting your data.
We have no sign-up flow because we built no user database. There is literally nowhere for personal information to go. Every tool on Speedelly runs entirely in your browser tab.
Open F12 → Network tab, then run a speed test. You’ll see requests only to the test-network endpoint (download/upload bytes) and, for tools that need it, a geolocation provider for your approximate city. No Speedelly back-end server receives any data.
Technical Privacy Summary
Last updated: June 2026. This Privacy Policy explains how Speedelly handles information. Speedelly is owned and operated by Jackrabbit Exports Private Limited ("the Company", "we", "us"), Mumbai, India, which is the data controller for the limited processing described below.
1. Our core principle
Speedelly's tools are designed to run locally in your browser. Files you select, test results and tool outputs are processed on your device and are not uploaded to or stored on our servers. We do not sell your personal data.
2. Information we do NOT collect
- The contents of files you open in any tool.
- Your individual test results or tool outputs (not stored on our servers).
- Account data — there are no accounts and no sign-up.
3. Third-party lookups some tools perform
Speedelly loads no advertising or analytics. The only third-party requests happen when you run a tool that needs them:
- IP & approximate location — tools such as the speed test, IP lookup and leak tests query a third-party geolocation API to display your public IP, ISP and approximate city to you. The lookup runs only when you start such a tool and nothing is retained by us.
- Measurement endpoints — network tools contact the servers they measure (e.g. the Cloudflare test network, public CDNs, DNS-over-HTTPS resolvers). These requests carry only the measurement traffic itself.
4. Cookies
Speedelly sets no cookies — first-party or third-party — and shows no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to. The only browser storage used is localStorage on your own device (theme preference, local test history), which is never transmitted to anyone.
5. Third-party processors
We rely on the following third parties, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Cloudflare and jsDelivr — content delivery and the speed-test network endpoints.
- IP/geolocation API providers — used by certain tools to look up your public IP and approximate location.
These providers may process data on servers located outside your country, including outside India or the EEA.
6. Legal bases (where GDPR applies)
Where the EU/UK GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service. IP/location lookups run only when you actively start a tool that requires them, and the result is displayed to you — not stored.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location (e.g. under GDPR, the California CCPA/CPRA, or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to opt out of personalised advertising or the "sale"/"sharing" of personal information. Because we do not store your personal data on our servers, your data stays in your own browser under your control. To exercise rights or ask questions, contact us.
8. Data retention
We do not retain your personal data, file contents or test results on our servers. Any preferences (such as theme or local test history) are stored locally in your own browser and never leave it.
9. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us so we can address it.
10. Security
The Service is served over HTTPS and designed to minimise data collection. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. International users
By using the Service you understand that processing by our third-party providers may occur in countries other than your own, which may have different data-protection laws.
12. Do Not Track
The Service sends no analytics or advertising data regardless of any "Do Not Track" signal — there is nothing to opt out of.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted with an updated "Last updated" date.
